Loving all the photos Dec 21, 2010

No time to upload any photos (which would be a haze of white fog upon white snow upon gray trees today; I'd rather blue sky and green leaves, the more the better) but thanks so much for suggesting this topic and to everyone who has posted.

Taken this afternoon, Dec 24, 2010

from the balcony door in my kitchen.

That white stuff is the reason I'm still in Cologne and not having a white Christmas with my family in Dublin. Oh well, could be worse.

Peaceful Christmas to all!

Here's what I see Dec 27, 2010

Here's what I see on this beautiful winter day. Hope it works:

Great thread (and great distraction from a rather boring banking questionnaire;)

Porto, Northern Portugal Dec 27, 2010

This is the view from my office on Christmas morning. I live in Porto, just above the Douro river. The bridge on the far right is the famous Luís I Bridge and the large building on the left is a monastery.

Photobucket

The second image is from my balcony looking in the opposite direction. You can see two more of Porto's bridges over the Douro river and the hills in the distance.

What I see from my office/bedroom Jan 13, 2011

I have two windows at my office/bedroom: one of them points north and the other one points west.
Pictures were taken with my BlackBerry so colors look a bit pale.

I live in the countryside so I have birds singing and water flowing near my house all the time (plus no noises at all!).

A tête-à-tête with my friend Apr 16, 2015

This is my friend, a wood pecker.
He lives in a tree trunk outside my window and whenever he finds time to spare he pays me a visit....
I actually quite like his company. Sometime he also steals my pencils, god knows who he writes to.....

Uploading for dummies Apr 20, 2015

Gianni Pastore wrote:

To post a picture: subscribe to an image host provider (i.e.: photobucket), upload the image, copy the IMG Code and paste it in your message here on Proz. Here's mine, taken from the studio balcony in the back of the flat. Quite relaxing view, I have to admit! (Camera: Fuji FinePix S5600)

Sounds easy enough, however, I don't know where to find the IMG code. I have Picasa installed on my PC (don't blame me, it came with the package). I have the JPG located on my PC, but don't know what the IMG code is or where to find it.

There's also a woodpecker in the tree outside my window, but I cannot manage to make a beautiful picture.
