I use Linux, and I have been trying to install the Okapi filter plugin for OmegaT. I followed the instructions in the Readme file that comes with the Okapi filters. It says:

Installation

To install the plugin:
1. Create a plugins directory in the OmegaT main directory, if it does not exist yet.

I followed the instructions but the XLIFF Okapi filter does not show up in my list of file filters.

Do you know what I can do to make the OmegaT Okapi filter installation work?

Thank you

There are more detailed instructions online:

It says:

Installation

To install the plugin:
1. Create a plugins directory in the OmegaT main directory, if it does not exist yet.
2. Copy the jar okapi directory of the distribution in the plugins directory.

Just in case: The jar has to be unzipped.

3. The next time you run OmegaT the new filters will be available.

Normally, you have done everything needed.

What is your version of OmegaT?

What is your version of Java?

If needed, you can ask for help:
In the OmegaT support group (where there are Linux users):
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/OmegaT/info

In the Okapi support group:
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/okapitools/info

And in the Linux for translators group:

Thank you for these additional detailed intructions, Didier.

I ended up having to install the newest version of both OmegaT and Okapi and that worked like butter.

Thank you.
