Mallorcan Insular Council / Insular Council of Mallorca Explanation: Interesting question. I was tempted to answer "island province", comparing it to "diputaciones" on the mainland, but reading the Wikipedia (!) explanation it seems to have a more special status and this is the term preferred by the local authorities themselves in English.
