I honestly think this guy's goal is to coin a term (not based on this one), so I am tempted to leave it as is, but that would be lazy. Anyone know what they mean here? What would historitzar mean? TIA!!

"La reflexió d'Ellacuría sobre els drets humans es guia pel mètode de la historització dels conceptes, que constitueix una crítica radical a l'ús ideologitzat (en el sentit de falsejador i encobridor de la realitat) i ahistòric que la filosofia fa amb freqüència dels conceptes."

Rough draft

"Ellacuría’s ideas on human rights are guided by the method of XXXX concepts, a radical critique of idiologised (i.e. in the sense of concealing or falsifying reality) and ahistorical use frequently seen in philosophy."

Explanation:
I think it's something along these lines:

"Ellacuría’s ideas on human rights are guided by the method of putting concepts into a strict historical context, a radical critique of the ideologised (i.e. in the concealing or falsifying of reality) and non-historical use frequently seen in philosophy."

Explanation:
The term actually exist in English, it is even in the dictionary at Dictionary.com, who are quite good at picking up terms from the latest academic theses. It's ugly, but it's out there!

Asker: Yeah, I came across that one. I wasn't sure if it really meant the same thing. Mostly because I don't know what the original means, nor can I find a reference for it.

agree  Berni Armstrong: Great idea Caroline! Plain English! I'd always go for plain English - as I noted above, the word might exist, but it's ugly.
