Croatian term or phrase: kraj
Sorry I am not sure if it is Croatian, Bosnian or Serbian....So, if this is not the right pair of languages, please feel free to change it.

I have just watched a Kusturica's film 'Underground'. It ends with 'this story has no ...END' but in the original language (sorry I do not which one?) it was written 'Kraj'. So, I would rather say 'this story has no country'.... Any ideas?

end
Explanation:
The same word ("kraj") is used both in meaning of "the end" and "region, country", without any apparent reason. This does not need to bother you. That's just the way some languages are.

agree  BUZOV: IF 'this story has no end" = 'ova priča nema kraja' = 'this is an endless story" ... IF 'this story has no LAND' = 'ovo je priča bez zemlje' 'ova priča nema zemlje' (in all 3 languages) ... Presum. usually used(film) END incorporated into the sentence

agree  BUZOV: And that would be Kusturica's typical 'poetic expression' ... incorporating usual film screen into a sentence and intentionaly leaving in the air 2 questions at once 'is there end of the story' and 'does that land exist anymore'
