By way of a reminder, a statutory director is a person formally appointed as a company director by a resolution of the existing director(s), pursuant to the company’s articles with the appropriate statutory form being filed at Companies House to publicly record the appointment.

disagree  EvaVer (X): "statutory" is not "statutární"! "Statutární" means according to the company's Articles of Association, the company's legal representative. I would just say CEO

-> 'Statutory' - required, permited, or enacted by statute. 'Statute' - a permanent rule established by an organization, corporation, etc., to govern its internal affairs.

disagree  Jiri Lonsky: Statutory = according to written law, not just Articles of Assoc. And CEO is an executive position, that is not applicable either.

agree  Václav Pinkava: statutory = by statute. Formally accountable. Could be Chairman of the Board, not CEO or CxO, but that is not the crux.
