nice discussion, my battery is at 14% so I can't react...but Hanna, I wanna sell burgers...it is the big burger already, you're right...but even then in American restaurants or perhaps whereever, big burger is still supported by some adjectival clincher that that's exactly what you want to order.

I think Hanka can be more creative here, since the name of the burger (Big burger) already describes its size quite unambiguously (minus cultural differences).

I dare to say that in Czech the word "pořádný" goes a bit further, that is why the menu did not put out an outright "velký" but a "good piece of", which may be translated in many ways, some of them not even mentioned here, such as sizeable (or sizable), big-appetite, etc. I hate doing menus, it is a pain, but I do notice that they tend to be quite creative. And if I already have a Big Burger, translated or not, why follow it up by "large". I simply feel that the "pořádný" here deserves our attention, be it decent, proper, substantial, hearty, or other, IMO.
If I may also mention, from my own observation, menus tend to be very individual, and it is quite possible that Hanka will be able to select one of the expressions here simply on the basis of how it fits within the rest of the crative set-up of the menu, because the owner always has a certain central idea in mind. What that is, we do not know.

let's please get back to what I said..."a large" covers it by definition completely. I digress: there are around 3 quarters of a million restaurants in the US, can you imagine then the adjectival (marketing/please stop here?) options? I want you to eat in my restaurant and I want you to try my burger dammit...The needed adjective is like the difference between mauve and whatever colors are close thereto...(many men proudly don't know what mauve is, sounds like an aunt that comes over far too often)...) Putting it in Czech terms, it will be a Czech restaurant with x y z clients from wherever...juice it up and call it descent-sized, some will say why decent and not BIG? Call it biiiig? why not? Maxi? More a central European term but sure, that conveys the meaning too...If it were my restaurant, I'd not confuse, I'll leave that to the trendy American restaurants just begging for your car to stop...there a "hefty" burger, a "3-alarm burger" for the spicy kind indeed look up "ultimate burger"...OK, but the asker is trying to find an appropriate term for a restaurant in the CR. I hereby invoke the K.I.S.S. clause, because I want ALL of my seats occupied in full by hungry diners...
