I am translating a description about taking finger prints for border control and come across the word "slap", in the following context: For finger printing purposes, a slap consists of 4 fingers (index, major, ring, little finger) from either the left or right hand.

Is anyone familiar with this expression and can you suggest a Dutch translation?

Explanation:
Ik kan ook geen directe referentie vinden, maar 'slapping' is iemand slaan met open hand (palm). Ik neem dat 'slap' in deze context verwijst naar 'open hand', of 'handpalm naar beneden gericht' of iets in die geest. Ik zou het proberen te beschrijven in plaats van een directe term te vinden.
