idle = disponible, mais off call = au repos, c'est à dire qu'il a fini son service et n'est pas disponible, puisqu'il a fait ses heures. Il faut bien distinguer ici.

disagree  Tony M: Just because they are not 'on call' doesn't mean they are 'resting' — particularly since the distinction is made with literally 'idle'

neutral  Daryo: I think that the distinctive element from being "idle" (=ready and waiting for a "call") is in them being "available for other tasks" but not for "calls" (the primary activity of the team, done off premises, whatever it is first aid / plumbing ...)

disagree  Yvonne Gallagher: off call: "doing after call work" i.e. the documentary work or any other necessary work. Definitely NOT resting. Not yet ready to go "live" on another call.
