échelle

Explanation:
All the surveys I've seen (and I do quite a lot!) normally just call it an 'échelle' — I'm assuming it is one where you e.g. click on the scale at the relevant point, instead of literally using 'drag-&-drop' on the slider?

Notes to answerer
Asker: Hum. I am hesitant to use just 'échelle', because this answer type could be confused with classic 'Likert scales' with 1 to 7 points.... This 'slider scale' type is really a 'cursor' the participant needs to slide on a scale, to answer. Which brings me to the right answer, perhaps : échelle à curseur ! :-)

agree  Tony M: Though need to be wary, as S/M is EN to start with and translated into FR, and some of the translations do leave a lot to be desired :-( And as François points out, it should be 'curseur'

Peer comments on this answer (and responses from the answerer)
disagree  Tony M: 'scale range' is something quite different; this term patently wouldn't fit in Asker's given context.
