Reference: Piano copy = adapted version of sheet music Reference information: It looks like a "piano copy" is a version of the sheet music adapted for a pianist to accompany a vocalist. That version would not include the part of the melody that the vocalist will be singing. If the pianist were performing the song as an instrumental, that part WOULD be included.
