1) Intendono appunto "è ben difficile sostenere che a questo punto il mercato non sia basato su prezzi equi", ma allora dovrebbe essere "it is very hard to argue anything but **THAT** the market is fairly priced at this point".
2) Meno verosimilmente, intendono "è ben difficile sostenere qualunque tesi, ma comunque a questo punto il mercato è basato su prezzi equi", ma allora ci dovrebbe essere una virgola dopo "anything". Mi sembra in ogni caso meno sensata come frase.
