English term or phrase: acumen
The sentence says: The indicated cartridge is not installed or missing or has a damaged acumen.

In my experience, acumen has another meaning (eg: perspicacia, capacidad, etc.) which has nothing to do with how it is presented here. A collegue presented me with this link (http://www.manualslib.com/manual/931528/Hp-Officejet-Pro-X47... which shows more instaces of the term, but I still cannot make out a trasnlation out of this info.

I was hoping you could help me find a term or at least an explanation of this "acumen" so I can traslate it.

Thank you in advance!

"Ink cartridge problem.
Cartridge Problem.
The product has detected that a cartridge is missing or damaged.
Remove the supply and wipe the **acumen contact** with a dry, lint-free material like a coffee filter or eyeglass cleaning wipe. Be careful not to touch the acumen with anything else."

Asker: HP's Machine Translation gave me that option, I just have never seen it that way. Thank you!
