English term or phrase: swiss-speaking region??
Hola, en un texto publicitario de un software, me encuentro con esta frase:

"XXX's operation places unique demands on their software. They need to be able to print labeling information in three different languages. Based on the location of their bakeries (either in the Swiss-, German- or French-speaking region of the country), they need to be able to select the appropriate combination of languages, and print all information on the label in the proper format."

Mi pregunta es, ¿puede referirse a una regón de Suiza donde se hable suizo? ¿O se refiere al alemán suizo? ¿Cómo produzco una traducción precisa y a la vez fiel al original?

¡Gracias!

Switzerland has four languages: German, French, Italian and Romansh and the majority of the population speak a form of German (so many dialects and basically incomprehensible to a a native German speaker), Swiss French is not so bad but has it's variances too ... intonation a bit different but perfectly understandable

neutral  Chema Nieto Castañón: Efectivamente, el romanche, del cual existen diferentes variedades en Suiza, es una de las cuatro lenguas oficiales ("nacionales") de Suiza, pero no creo que nadie se refiera a éstas (completamente minoritarias en el país) como "suizo".

agree  Marcelo González: We don´t know the linguistic sophistication of the speaker. I would not be at all surprised if this is what s/he meant.
