Como bien comentas, no es exacamente lo mismo que los guardacostas, es un precedente parcial: era un servicio de vigilancia aduanera dependiente del Tesoro. Se llamó Revenue Marine y luego Revenue Cutter Service. No creo que tenga traducción "oficial" en español, la que te doy es una opción.

Acabo de buscar más información y encontré que luego se le renombró como el ser Servicio de Guardacostas que es actualmente el Servicio de Guardia Costera de los Estados Unidos.
En todo caso podrías dejarlo en inglés o hacer una dupleta y de repente si se permite añadir una pequeña explicación de lo que era.

Asker: Hola, Jenny. Gracias por tu ayuda. Mira, es que no estoy segura porque hoy en día se le conoce como la Guardia Costera de los Estados Unidos. Pero en realidad, lo que el texto en inglés dice es esto:1915 The Revenue Marine Service and U.S. Lifesaving Service join to become the U.S. Coast Guard. Por lo tanto, no creo que Revenue Marine Service signifique Servicio de Guardacostas.
