vía media Explanation: There are a number of streets in Italy called via Medina, but I don't think it means anything as a philosophical term in English. But via media (which is Latin for middle way or middle path) certainly does, and fits the context perfectly, so I'm sure this is a typo and that the "n" should not be there. It's the same in Spanish, vía media, but with an accent on vía, because it's been Hispanicised. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Via_media -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2016-05-27 20:52:55 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- The published text has "via medina", but that doesn't mean it's not a typo. Many published texts contain typos. https://muse.jhu.edu/article/564618 |
