English term or phrase: gallons per day
Hello,
Could you please help me convert the following unit of measurement to the SI?

I have a translation, but the owner is asking me to convert 355,000 million gallons per day to cubic meter per second?

This is the text: "Total freshwater and saline-water withdrawals were estimated to be 355,000 million gallons per day (Mgal/d)".

Thank you very much

See Excel calculation on the attached image. I included there other image with a check with the Google conversion (same result)

Being an engineer, I would round it to just 4 significative figures only: 15550 metros cúbicos por segundo

355,000 only has 3 significant figures (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Significant_figures)
So the calculation shoud not show more than 3 or 4 significant figures. The other ones are called "spurious figures" (see that Wikipedia article), as they seem to add additional precision, which is false.

galones por día

Explanation:

355000 million gallons per day
15 [18] mil metros cúbicos por segundo

Explanation:
1 metro cúbico = 264.172 galones (US)
1 metro cúbico = 219.969 galones imperiales (BrE)

1 día = 86400 segundos

US
355000 millones galones/día = 355000 millones metros cúbicos/264.172 x día/86400 = 15553,489000713 metro cúbicos/seg

BrE
= 355000 millones metros cúbicos/219.969 x día/86400 = 18678,978839274 metros cúbicos/seg

Así pues, la estimación a traducir podría plantearse como -en función de que los galones sean americanos o británicos;

US
15 mil metros cúbicos por segundo
15500 metros cúbicos por segundo

BrE
18 mil metros cúbicos por segundo
18600 metros cúbicos por segundo
