The XXX includes a mode called Regupulse mode which attempts to measure the amount of back ionisation and automatically select a value of T2 to eliminate it. The method by which the XXX performs this is described below:

1. A non-BI reference point is first established. This is achieved by selecting a T1 as specified by the ‘Regupulse T1’ parameter and a T2 as specified by the ‘Start T2’ parameter multiplied by 1.5 (but not larger than 255) and allowing a short period for BI to cease.
