you are not making it easy.
the "farming" you are talking about is very likely to be about "server farms" (no crops nor animals nowhere in sight! - one more wide open trap waiting for unwary amateurs of glossaries, MT and Co!)
"server farms" would agree with "computer networks linked by optical cables" (i.e. "optical networks")
ALSO, the context of the whole ST is not necessarily the same context as the one of a paragraph or section of the ST where the term is used!
In practical terms: your ST as a whole might be about a company operating "server farms connected by optical cabling" but the sentence where your term is used might be about recruiting personnel for that company - if you leave all these "details" vague, you are not likely to get any sensible proposed translation. |
