agree  Carol Gullidge: although in my experience, a kindergarten (in UK) provided some early learning, as opposed to nursery places. Not sure if the system is still the same, but I assume so...
18 mins
-> Thanks, Carol! The s/t isn't very clear, but if they speak of 'crèche' as well, I'm assuming the 'accueil' is more of the k/garten type

agree  mchd: "kindergarten" utilisé par les anglais de ma région

-> Merci; mchd! Yes, I think it is more and more widely accepted these days than it was in my days (50 years ago!)

neutral  Tony M: That's actually the 'lieux d'accueil' in Asker's next question; I doubt there'd be 460 of them in this town!

agree  Nikki Scott-Despaigne: As a "lieu d'accueil municipal" could include "halte garderie" and "centre de loisirs", this can include children up up to 10, then "childcare places" is a safer bet.

agree  Tony M: I'll agree if you make it 'pre-school places available' ;-)
5 hrs
-> I think I covered that with my "explanation" and I wrote "this" pre-school level because I'm not sure what the equivalent to "petite enfance" is in terms of pre-school
