Plain radiographs are a valuable tool for detecting and classifying osteosclerotic disorders.It can manifest in localized or generalized osteosclerosis. Localized osteosclerosis can be caused by Legg–Calvé–Perthes disease, sickle-cell disease and osteoarthritis among others.
