I found several results that refer to Max Weber as being a "disenchanter". According to the wikipedia definition, "disenchantment is the cultural rationalization and devaluation of religion apparent in modern society". Depending on the whole context, you might be able to use "desecrators", as it is also connected to the "devaluation of religion", albeit stronger. Example sentence(s):
