As I stated, 'sustainable' is very important, here, so, although I'm sure it is good French, as far as it goes, 'Soignez votre image.' does not provide an adequate translation. I think the automatic selection of an answer was inappropriate, especially as I had already left a note to say this.
Thank you, Germaine, that sounds a good idea. Apparently, (from this text), the advantage of this particular type of dispenser is that the inner cardboard tubes are not needed, making it more 'eco-friendly', as you say. (Not sure exactly how you then avoid the paper just falling onto the floor!)
Can you give a little more information? Usually, when "sustainable" is mentioned about toilet paper dispensers, they're simply talking about large/huge quantities of paper that reduce the need to refill the dispenser.
On the other hand "image" usually refer to style/public face while "sustainable" may suggest "eco-friendly" - as mentioned by Yoann. If the expression is meant to reflect both, then, I would suggest "Laissez une empreinte durable!" (which plays with eco-footprint, but you'll have to check that no competitor around uses the same motto) ou "Laissez une impression durable!"
P.S.: "Soignez votre image" still fits the "politically correct" direction.
I'm sorry, Yoann, I've had a lot of other commitments, today. Yes, this is still about marketing bathroom appliances, in particular, a toilet roll dispenser for which you only need the paper, not the cardboard tubes that it is usually rolled onto.
you should be sure what exactly "sustainable" is supposed to mean?
is it an advice to a company? to an individual?
is really the "image" that is supposed to be "sustainable" or is this entity / person supposed to present itself as / giving the image of being "sustainable"?
for all we know, this could be a PR advice to someone to be careful what image it wants to presents now - to be sure that it can keep giving the same image in the future.
or "sustainable" could also mean "capable of sustaining attacks from your detractors"
with no context many interpretations are as plausible as any other ...
In French, this is meant as "Laissez un souvenir durable". In context: no one remember "ordinary" appliances in an ordinary decor. But one will easily remember - and talk about - you giant clawfoot bathtub, the waterfall faucet, the glass shower and its towel warmers. These make your "image" sustainable!
