Indien "Zerreißdruck" hier tegenover "Zerreißhub" staat, zou dat een mogelijke vertaling kunnen zijn. Dus: scheurdruk vs. scheur(op)heffing of zo. Maar de vraag is of dit hier zo bedoeld is. Staan deze beide woorden echt tegenover mekaar? Ik denk het eigenlijk niet. Een alternatieve denkpiste zou kunnen zijn dat het gaat om twee standen van een schakelaar of handvat. Hub wordt vaak gebruikt als term voor een afstand of positie zoals die van zuigers of getijden.
