The story of things Explanation: Weird use of words - nowhere in "St.meld. nr. 15" do these words appear except in the heading. But you're on the right track - it's about the univerity museums, and what museal objects can tell us about their time. |

what the objects tell us Explanation: "What the Objects Tell Us" http://www.museum.state.il.us/muslink/behind/htmls/cr_an.htm... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 12 mins (2010-03-19 10:04:27 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- The tales of the objects could be a cool translation if each object has it's own story, and I think it might have. |

objects tell their stories Explanation: Not very much different from the other suggestions. I have used this once or twice. Alternatively: objects that tell their stories/objects tell stories. The term is the title of a book by Professor Anders Johansen (+ed.) Innspill til museologi. There is a debate going on in the museum "business" about they way museum objects are displayed and communicated. How much of the object's story can we perceive by merely looking at it, and how much information/additonal information is needed? I haven't read the book, but A.Johansen is one of the leading media professors in this field. |
