I wonder if this simple write-around might be the best solution.

I also like Brigid's answer but I don't know whether or how teachers will be involved given the language issue, so perhaps just parent meetings would be safer.

PS Am intrigued by the notion of "minority language" being un-PC...

A way of phrasing that makes sense in a multicultural setting. P.S.: in Quebec (or elsewhere in French Canada), where linguistic groupings are popularly categorized as either "Francophone", "Anglophone", or "Allophone" (those whose mother tongue is neither French nor English), we could talk about parent-teacher meetings for Allophone parents in their mother tongue.
