slid (from 'to slide') Explanation: I agree with Leif, that this is not really Norwegian, but I don't think it means 'skid' in this context. To me, skidding is something more accidental, rather than intentional as in this case. I would propose 'slid' (to slide) in this particular case. Example sentence(s):

skid Explanation: This is basically not Norwegian, probably taken more or less directly from English.
