A dívida ativa (Dívida Ativa) é o conjunto de créditos que o governo tem contra os seus “maus pagadores”. Por exemplo, se alguém deixa de pagar um imposto, depois das tentativas normais frustradas de cobrança o valor vai para a dívida ativa, e a pessoa fica sujeita a uma série de constrangimentos, ter bens confiscados/leiloados para pagar o valor, etc.
