El carácter dinámico de la vulnerabilidad está relacionado con el análisis de las propiedades dinámicas del CNS ya que son aquellas que pueden cambiar con el uso y manejo de las coberturas vegetales en el tiempo antropogénico. Por lo tanto, se requiere conocer las diferentes transiciones coberturas vegetales que ha tenido el suelo. Esto es posible con un análisis multitemporal de las coberturas vegetales de la zona de estudio que permita identificar la ubicación de las zonas que siempre han permanecido en bosque nativo sin intervención, y en donde se pueden caracterizar las propiedades del CNS, y además identificar las otras zonas donde se han presentado diferentes transiciones de coberturas vegetales para a partir de esto evaluar los cambios de las propiedades dinámicas del CNS. Como producto final de esta etapa es un mapa de transición de coberturas resultado de comparar las coberturas en un mismo pixel para diferentes años
