Estoy traduciendo un artículo científico a ser publicado en una revista arbitrada. En el artículo, se estudia la degradación de compuestos de polímero mediante diferentes técnicas como calorimetría diferencial de barrido (DSC), microscopía electrónica de barrido (SEM), viscosimetría capilar, espectroscopía infrarroja y pérdida en peso. En el procedimiento experimental, dice:

"Para estimar la retención de peso de las muestras luego de la degradación se tomó el peso inicial de las probetas en una balanza analítica marca xxx, modelo xxx y **apreciación de 0,0001g**. Una vez extraídas, las muestras eran limpiadas delicadamente una brocha pequeña y luego lavadas con agua destilada para eliminar cualquier exceso de suciedad. Posteriormente eran secadas por 5 días a 40ºC. "

Para apreciación, he encontrado: resolution, graduation (según los kudoz); he pensado también en "accuracy", pero vi que en español hay una diferencia entre "apreciación" y "precisión", así que probablemente sea incorrecta esta acepción.
