Spanish term or phrase: poligonales de aproximación a la zona
Hi Everyone,

This is from a short text on land surveying from a Spanish company. The client wants a universal English.

In researching surveying I can see that the poligonales mentioned are traverses, I'm just having a problem wording this phrase. Any ideas? Thank you all for your help in advance.

area approximation polygonals....
Explanation:

refers to the method used, the traditional method described consists in using polygonals which "approach" the target, i.e. close in on it

the "approximación" is to the area, not to the polygonals....i.e. each polygonal gets closer and closer to the target.....hth....
