dröjsmålsränta om diskont/ering /default/ interest on arrears of the IOU discount Explanation: SPA: intereses moratorios / de mora / del descuento del pagaré / del cambial > bill of exchange... - on the assumption that the IOU is like a note of hand that can be discounted by a bank or other third party. Compare in German: IATE FINANCE (24) COM de Diskont COM en *discounted domestic bill* Example sentence(s):

Penalty interest at the Riksbank discount rate Explanation: Diskontot was the Riksbank’s main interest rate, now replaced with the repo rate and a related reference rate which is used to set penalty interest, which is normally that rate +8pp. In this case, if there is no further text after this, it would appear that the penalty interest is at the discount rate itself. Nothing to do with discounted bills, of that I am certain. |

Interest on arrears if discounting Explanation: Without further contextual information, I interpret “diskont” as an unofficial abbreviation for discounting, or simply a typographical error. However, I could be wrong! |
