Before actually starting spraying operations, a ground test using water will show whether:
the dispersant filter is clean;
nozzles have been mounted correctly:
- choosing nozzle type (possibly),
- nozzle orientation,
the nozzles are clogged or not;
the check valves* (mounted just in front of the nozzles) work correctly or not;
cf. 2 “Airborne treatment”.
dispersant flow rates and pressures are correct;
cf. 4 “How much dispersant is to be used when spraying from an aircraft?”
spraying controls (remote control) and solenoid valves are working correctly.

Source text - English ABSTRACT
The reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction
(RT-PCR) is the most sensitive method for the
detection of low-abundance mRNA, often obtained
from limited tissue samples. However, it is a complex
technique, there are substantial problems
associated with its true sensitivity, reproducibility
and specificity and, as a quantitative method, it suffers
from the problems inherent in PCR. The recent
introduction of fluorescence-based kinetic RT-PCR
procedures significantly simplifies the process of
producing reproducible quantification of mRNAs
and promises to overcome these limitations. Nevertheless,
their successful application depends on a
clear understanding of the practical problems, and
careful experimental design, application and validation
remain essential for accurate quantitative
measurements of transcription. This review discusses
the technical aspects involved, contrasts
conventional and kinetic RT-PCR methods for
quantitating gene expression and compares the
different kinetic RT-PCR systems. It illustrates
the usefulness of these assays by demonstrating
the significantly different levels of transcription
between individuals of the housekeeping gene
family, glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate-dehydrogenase
(GAPDH).

واکنش زنجیره پلیمراز نسخه برداری معکوس (RT-PCR) دقیق ترین روش برای شناسایی mRNA های کم تعداد است که اغلب از نمونه های بافتی محدود و مخصوصی به دست می آید. در عین حال این روش، تکنیکی پیچیده بوده و مشکلاتی اساسی مانند تکرارپذیری و اختصاصی بودن (خاصّیت) در دستیابی به دقت و حساسیت واقعی آن وجود دارد و از طرف دیگر به عنوان یک روش کمّی مشکلات ذاتی PCR را نیز به همراه دارد. البته ظهور فرایند های RT-PCR جنبشی مبتنی بر فلورسنس ، روند تولید کمیت دهی تکرار پذیر mRNA ها را تا حد زیادی تسهیل کرده و امیدها را برای غلبه بر این محدودیت ها برانگیخته است. علیرغم تمام این پیشرفتها، کاربست موفقیت آمیز این روش ها همچنان بر فهم درست از مشکلات عملی متکی بوده و طراحی دقیق آزمایشگاهی، اجرا و ارزیابی نیز همچنان جزو موارد اساسی در اندازه گیری های کمّی دقیق نسخه برداری ها می باشند. این مقاله ابعاد فنی سیستم های RT-PCR جنبشی مختلف را به بحث می گذارد، روش های جنبشی و معمول RT-PCR در کمیت دهی بیان ژن را همسنجی کرده و همچنین سیستم های RT-PCR جنبشی مختلف را با هم مقایسه می کند. در این نوشتار، سودمندی این سنجش ها از طریق تشریح تفاوت برجسته سطوح نسخه برداری میان اعضای رده ژن های اداره کننده (ژن های پایه در تمام سلول ها) _ دی هیدروژناز-فسفات-تری-گلیسرآلدهید (GAPDH) _ اثبات می شود.

Source text - English It is my contention that the suitability of this paradigm to explain and solve
environmental, social, and economic problems needs to be reconsidered. I
begin by examining some antecedents of the concepts of sustainable
development and sustainability and by identifying key points in the debate
that could be useful to analyse their validity and reliability. I also look at some
aspects of the WCED definition that, in my view, represent serious limitations
to its universality and usefulness. In particular, I provide some arguments to
show that the essential anthropocentrism of the WCED definition makes it a
weak conceptual framework to discuss issues of development. While this
definition overestimates the explanatory power of economic reasoning, it does
not pay enough attention to other, fundamental aspects of development. To
overcome these shortcomings, I propose an alternative sustainability triangle
formed by ‘Place’, ‘Permanence’, and ‘Persons’ (the new three Ps). To justify
this triangle, I try to show that: (a) Place, the three-dimensional physical and
geographical, but also culturally constructed space where we live and interact,
should be more adequately represented in a sustainability paradigm; (b)
Permanence, the fourth, temporal dimension, has been largely neglected in the
sustainability debate, in spite of the widespread recognition of the potential
long-term effects of our actions, and all the inter-generational justice rhetoric;
and that (c) Persons, the fifth dimension, a symbol of people as individual
human beings and not as undifferentiated members of society, has been all but
excluded from the WCED notion of sustainability.
Translation - Persian (Farsi) ...اما بحث نگارنده این است که مناسبت این الگو برای تشریح و رفع مشکلات اقتصادی، اجتماعی و زیست محیطی باید مورد بازبینی واقع شود. بحث خود را با بررسی سابقه مفاهیم پایایی و توسعه پایدار و همچنین با شناسایی نکات اصلی این مبحث که می توانند در تحلیل اعتبار و اطمینان این مفاهیم کاربرد داشته باشند، شروع می کنم. همچنین نگاهی دارم به برخی ابعاد تعریف WECD که از نظر من محدودیت هایی جدی بر جهانشمولی و کارایی این مفاهیم تحمیل می کند و به طور خاص دلایلی ارائه می دهم که نشان می دهند انسان محوری اساسی و حاضر در تعریف WECD باعث می شود این تعریف به چهارچوب مفهومی ضعیفی برای بحث در مورد مسائل توسعه تبدیل شود. در حالی که این تعریف قدرت تبیین استدلال اقتصادی را بیش از اندازه واقعی برآورد می کند ، توجه کافی به سایر ابعاد اساسی توسعه مبذول نمی دارد. برای رفع این نواقص نگارنده مثلث پایایی دیگری متشکل از سه ضلع "مکان" ، "استمرار" و "افراد" پیشنهاد می کند (سه P جدید). برای توجیه این مثلث سعی نگارنده بر این است که نشان دهد : 1. مکان، فضای سه بعدی فیزیکی و جغرافیایی و همینطور فرهنگی که ما در ان زندگی و با دیگران تعامل می کنیم باید در الگوی پایایی به نحو شایسته تری بازنمایی شود؛ 2. استمرار، بعد چهارم و زمانی، علیرغم تصدیق گسترده اثرات بلندمدت اقدامات مان و تمام نطق های آتشین در مورد عدالت بین نسلی، تا کنون در مبحث پایایی مورد غفلت بزرگی واقع شده است؛ و 3. افراد، بعد پنجم ، که منظور از آن تک تک افراد نوع بشر است نه اعضای نامتمایز یک جامعه ، تقریبا به طور کامل از تعریف WECD از پایایی کنار گذاشته شده است.
