Source text - French C'est en Bosnie (à peu près, hein), inspiré d'un récent voyage là-bas pour voir la belle-famille (sauf que le rêve se passe en été).
Avec de la famille, des enfants nombreux, de petits garçons et des petites filles aussi. C'était un beau rêve avec pas mal de sentiment de liberté.
La partie particulière du rêve, c'est sa fin: sur la route, quelqu'un lance d'un air distrait une balle rose pour un chien avec lequel on joue tout le temps. Tout à coup, on réalise que le chien est désemparé et n'arrive pas à trouver la baballe.
En fait, celle-ci est suspendue en l'air et tourne sur elle-même. On s'approche et elle semble prise dans une fuite de gaz vers le haut, comme on voit parfois une balle de ping-pong sur une colonne d'air (vous pouvez vérifier sur google).
Non, ce n'est pas une fuite de gaz, c'est une sorte de cercle de gaz, qui sort d'un petit trou dans la route et fait un arc avant de rentrer dans la route. Non, ce n'est pas du gaz, c'est du feu. Une sorte de faux feu, des flammes bleues, qui ne brûlent pas au toucher.
Ce n'est pas juste un arc, ce sont plusieurs arcs de flammes bleues, qui s'entrecroisent. On arrive à les distinguer si on regarde bien.
Un son, celui du "gaz" s'échappant, s'intensifie et les flammes brûlent d'un éclat de plus en plus fort.
La lumière du jour s'en va, est occultée, la scène est baignée d'une lumière surnaturelle, bleue, un peu stroboscopique, les arcs de feu rugissent une musique comme dans les grosses scènes d'action de science-fiction, comme un orchestre au plus fort du climax de la symphonie, nous courons ramasser les enfants et les mettre à l'abri derrière un tas de bois.
La musique et la luminescence inquiétante atteignent un paroxysme, je m'attends à une explosion, une catastrophe, mais tout s'arrête d'un coup, comme si de rien n'avait été.
Je ne sais pas ce qu'il est advenu de la balle.
Translation - English This takes place in Bosnia (more or less, you know how it is in dreams), based on a recent real life trip I made with the purpose of visiting the in-laws (except that in the dream, it is summer).
There’s family, many children, little boys and little girls. A beautiful dream, with an agreeable sense of freedom.
The special part of the dream is its end. Someone is playing with the dog on the road, throwing it a little pink ball. We are not really paying attention, but after a while, we realize the dog is acting weird and cannot find the little ball.
It turns out the ball is suspended, vibrating, in mid-air. As we get closer, it seems the ball is caught in a sort of gas leak coming out of the ground, levitating like a ping pong ball on a hairdryer (google it if you don’t see what I mean).
Actually, it isn’t a gas leak, it is a kind of gassy arc, coming out of a hole in the road and arcing back into the street a few meters farther away. Actually, no, it isn’t gas, it’s fire. Some sort of fake fire, blue flames which do not burn. Actually, it is not just one arc, there are several arcs of blue flame crisscrossing. You can see them if you look closely.
The sound of the "gas/flames" hissing out gets louder and louder, grows more intense as the flames burn ever brighter. At the same time, the light of day declines, is faded out. The whole scene is suffused in eerie, strobing blue light, not unlike a snowy full moon night, the fiery arcs roar out orchestral music fit for the final battle of an action movie. We gather up the children and run for cover behind a stack of wood.
The weird music and strange flashing lights grow ever more frenetic, moving to a climax which I am sure will be an explosion or some other catastrophe, but everything just suddenly stops and the sun is back like nothing happened.
I don’t know what happened to the little pink ball.
