My name is Cheyne Bull and I am a native NAATI certified Spanish - English translator from Australia. I also translate Portuguese - English (uncertified). 

I live and work in Australia as a freelance translator, as well as studying simultaneously for my Masters Degree in Psychology.

I translate from all variants of Spanish to English and Brazilian Portuguese to English.

I have over six years’ experience as a translator specializing in the fields of Business, Education, Advertising, Technical and Science/Academic.

 I am very confident working with CAT Tools such as MateCat, Trados, TWS, MemoQ and Wordfast among others.

I hold a BA in Psychology & Communications and a Masters in International Development, as well as a TEFL certificate. 

I have honed my skills in translating Spanish/Portuguese - English over many years of living and working in Spain and Latin America. 

My areas of specialty for translation are: business, academic and social sciences. I worked for many years in NGO management and Education so I am highly knowledgeable in these two areas. Furthermore I regularly translate subtitles across a range of genres. I currently work regularly on translating academic articles across a range of subject areas and also doing various business translations from contracts to HR material. I love the challenge of translating across a broad range of specialties and use my well-honed research skills to ensure a word-perfect translation. 

I  have lived in Spain, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Nicaragua and Colombia, giving me first hand expert knowledge of variants in the Spanish language and expertise in Brazilian Portuguese. I studied professional writing as part of my BA and approach translation with a love for English language and an understanding that translating is so much more than simply computing Spanish into English. I have a passion and flair for writing.
