riggers' coverage

There are a variety of names in English used for this type of coverage. I think "riggers' coverage" is probably the most appropriate US English term for your context -- see the first link for a description. I don't have the UK equivalent at hand right now.

Second link is a Danish description for løftedækning.

disagree Michael Davies : The asker is based in the UK so I would think he wants the UK English answer - not US English!

You know, I acknowledged that in my answer. Sometimes it's helpful to have a starting point, even if it's advice from a resident of a former colony . . .

Crane insurance

According to Codan's 'Forsikring og Transport' (see the first of the 2 links below), 'løftedækning' is insurance cover against accidents, which occur while lifting an item (with a crane) when the incident is not covered by freight insurance.

According to Allied Insurance Brokers, this type of incident is covered by their crane insurance (see the 2nd link).
Example sentence:

Allied Advisor insurance and risk management solutions to reduce total crane insurance cost and strengthen your business

Peer comment(s):

disagree Charles Ek : Your second link is to a typical description of a broad program for all sorts of crane loss exposures, not just the specific one at issue in "løftedækning".
