I translated it as "The history of the distribution of the Colorado potato beetle outside of its native range has been closely related to the chronology of emergence and distribution of new populations resistant to insecticides" but can't help but think that the part about chronology sounds too Russian.

: I think "appearance and spread" are the most commonly used words. I think "record," "history," "timeline," "chronology" are all good. I might personally have a teensy preference for "history."

: "spread" is suitably alarming: e.g., the spread of cancer, of dengue fever, of invasive species. "Dispersal" does not convey alarm; it sounds more neutral.
