Hello fellow Turkish translators.
I keep receiving this message : Yangin sondurme cihazlari ve diger ekipman alimlariniz icin Tel : 0212 343 57 70 (pbx)
with a picture that looks like a fire extinguisher. If you need more context, I'll gladly retype the rest of the message which does not seem to cut-and-copy.
Please, just let it be known that I am not looking for a freebie translation. I'll put it up as a job if it is important. But I would not want to pay to know about some adevertisment. On top of being spammed !
As I have been to Turkey for journalistic purposes, I wonder if some friends are sending this or if it is just spam.
Please let me know.
Many thanks Ode

Odette,
That is a business solicitation letter for fire extinguishers and related equipment and materials. It does not look malicious (no enlargements there!), yet the e-mail addressed you gave to someone may have ended up in the wrong database. The language is Turkish and the telephone number is in Istanbul. It may be difficult to trace back to have your address removed.

No problem. I'll set my mail filter to move these recurrent e-mails to my unwanted list. Teshekur ederim Faruk.

Hi Odette,
I see that you don't want to buy a real, original fire extinguisher from Turkey. But if you want some cheap imitation Rolex watches or some drugs, please let me know. I have about 20 e-mails today offering these.
Sadan

Rolex, viagra and cialis are the products offered to me each and every day.. However, what I am interested in buying is a fire extinguisher.. Might be handy when one day I smash my PC)
