Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (2): B D Finch, philgoddard

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Is this not the most standard translation for this, when it is not "stake"?

This obviously concerns tulip consumption:
Research conducted during ISAFRUIT at IRTA has given the tools and key points that have to be assessed to design a successful protocol at laboratory scale and at industrial scale to meet the safety, NUTRITIONAL AND SENSORIAL Issues.

So do you think it means lipids ARE an enjeu? Or, rather, are they discussing the enjeux associated with lipids?

"lipids, both a sensory and a nutritional issue": that will depend whether lipids are deemed to be in and of themselves an issue or whether there are sensory and nutritional issues associated with lipids. That's not even a matter of being two sides of the same coin. It's more like certain Austins/ Morrises/ Rileys/ Wolseleys or the English and Scottish shillings and sixpences of old: no difference other than the way they look (on one side only in the case of the coins).

I expect the real, er, ... issue here is one of punctuation. Should it read:
- Les lipides, (sont des) enjeux sensoriels et nutritionnels, or
- Les lipides : (leurs) enjeux sensoriels et nutritionnels
Note from asker:
Yes, Bourth, "issues" is on my list - but in this case, the reference noun is lipids - concrete - whereas issues is abstract. (Implication is abstract too but carries a sense of "what they do").
Ah - you've made me THINK: your answer feels better to me in the singular: lipids, both a sensory and a nutritional issue. Barbara: I know, trouble is as soon as I see "enjeu" my brain says "hard work ahead" ...

I often use "issues" as Bourth suggests, but the problem is that "issues" has been hijacked and is now almost synonymous with "problems". I thought that "considerations" would be a more neutral option for your title.
