Microsoft Word for Mac: Automatic language detection isn't working

I noticed that in Microsoft Word for Mac 16.53 the automatic language detection isn't working anymore. Every time I hit Enter, the correct language should be assigned to the previous paragraph.

(This works fine in Word for Windows ...)

The required language files are installed, since I can format and spellcheck the paragraphs manually.

How to restore automatic language detection?

Hi, I was able to review and auto-detect your below sentence in Word (Turkish) on my Mac. I went to Review and then Language. Choose the language - Set as Deafault and OK. Or "Default..." and then OK.

I got the same problem on my MACbook sometime u need to close the file first and re-start again
