Cannot copy/paste from SDL Trados Studio 2014 to/from other programs

Today I logged on to SDL Trados as usual just to find I am no longer able to copy/paste to/from Studio 2014 to any other program, such as Word, Chrome, Excel, etc.

It just seems silly, but this is an easy tool and I can't get it to work anymore. The familiar Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V is only working inside Trados Studio!! Did anyone else had such problem yet?

Lilia, it happened to me several times. Usually a simple restart of Studio helps. Otherwise, restart your computer.

You may also try to restore the windows layout Jan 16, 2015

Try the command "View - Restore windows layout". This might also solve the problem without the need to restart Studio.

Thanks for the answer guys!!

I already tried everything, but nothing seems to work. I simply cannot copy from/nor paste to Trados Studio into/from any other application!

This is really anoying!! Does someone ever encountered such error before??

A couple of suggestions Jan 19, 2015

It's very strange that Ctrl+C works inside Studio but not elsewhere.

I'd try a couple of things:

1. Re-assign the shortcut. I know you won't want to change this standard shortcut, but reassign it to something different (just to see if it works) and then change it back.
To change a shortcut, go to File>Options>Keyboard Shortcuts>All views and browse to Copy.

2. Try repairing Studio from the Control Panel.
