"Scouts" would have been the better word, I assume from the perspective of a non-native speaker and German, like in "Scouts of Peace" (Kundschafter des Friedens), to defend all the innocent and therefore inofficial informants of the world in the name of peace, freely adopted from the motto of E. Mielke in 1989: "I love all – all Humanity! I really do! I set myself before you!" (German: "Ich liebe – Ich liebe doch alle – alle Menschen! Na liebe doch! Ich setze mich doch dafür ein!").
