Turkish term

dizibolumu

Turkish to English Science Biology (-tech,-chem,micro-)
I am doing a biology text into English (written in 1950, perhaps this term has been replaced with something else). Usage also seems inconsistant with contemporary use. "Ananc" seems to mean (biological)class? "Soy," "tur" and "dizi" seem to be "genus," "species" and "order". I don't find available Turkish-English general dictionaries offer much context to the non-biologist.
Thanks in advance.

order

unfortunately, there is no consensus on taxonomy among turkish-speaking biologists, it seems. but the fact that there is, among the english-speaking ones helps. you can check with the following method:

-when i tried dizibolumu, dizi bolumu, bölümü, etc. i found the following page in the turkish google:

http://www.dicle.edu.tr/fakulte/veteriner/28.htm

there is the entry: "dizi bölümü: mallophaga"
when you search "mallophaga" in turkish pages you come up with various terms, but in the english pages "mallophaga" is always an "order" (which i also know to be called "takım")

"ananc" must be a typo; it should correct as "anaç bölümü" which in turn is a "subphylum" according to the same method (check with "diantennata" from the same page above)

others:

soy -> genus (also called "cins")
tür -> species
dizi -> phylum (also "filum")

(p.s. it seems the prefix "sub-" is rendered by some with "bölüm[ü]")

agree Nizamettin Yigit : It seems order..More information can be found http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/Scientific classification or asker needs to enter the corresponding nomenclatures . zamanla azaldi.. Vurgudaki exaggeration dikkate alinirsa Facia da doguru olur...

teşekkür ederim. aslında ne facia bir durum değil mi? şunların adında anlaşılamıyorsa nasıl bilim yapılabilir ki?
