Source text - Portuguese Mundo. Hoje, temos medo.
Translation - English World. Save it, or try to make it. Die trying if’s the case, but afterall, get moving, change some pieces from place, see if the machine works better without’em. “The world goes rounding”. Sometimes looks like he is very tiny in the turns it gives, otherwise, I woudn’t have noticed he turns. But then what means exist, “to live in the world”? Take your life as a normal person, they say. And what does a “normal person” do of its life? He’s born, he grows, he studies, works, works and works, then, dies. Looks like a joke, doesn’t it? Sometimes, while working someone falls in love, gets married, have children, and their children will do everything again, try to be normal… But then, what is the other choice we have? Try to be a super-hero? I’ve already tried that a long time ago. And it was good, not that I had done anything of greatness, but life, at that time, was good. We had hope, phisical and intelectual strength, and a healthy sense of reality. We knew that there was something wrong with the world, we just didn’t knew what. But even then, even without knowing, we thougth we could change the world, even not knowing how too. Some tried by love, some by education, we tried by fear. We thought that putting fear in the hearts, punishing all injustice, we would have justice and peace. The war was already happening. We knew that, if not by war, countries would perish by implosion, a moral and civil colapse. The States can’t watch for everything; and we end to know, in the worst possible way, that individuals can watch for even less. No, you can’t count on super-heroes. But when they were there, watching for us, at least we could sleep in peacefullnes. Now, we fear.
