Jennifer La Casella, founder and director of Ameri-Euro Translations, is fluent in English, Spanish, French, and Italian, and studied translation for four years at two different institutions in Mexico City. The diploma she holds from the Institut Français d'Amérique Latine (French Institute of Latin America) is the equivalent of a Master's Degree in translation. After mastering the skills needed for translation, she went on to specialize in legal, financial and business, medical, and literary translation. She is a self-taught specialist in oil and gas translation as well. Jennifer also does editing projects, and worked in the Arizona State Unviersity Writing Center for three and a half years.
Jennifer La Casella also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education with a specialization in Spanish and a Master of Arts degree in Spanish Literature. She is certified to teach Spanish and French at the secondary level, and she taught Spanish classes at Arizona State University for two years. She was also awarded the Fulbright Teaching Assistantship, a prestigious award that allowed her to live in France for a year, working as an English teacher at the middle and high school levels. She then won a second scholarship from the Arizona State University French Department which allowed her to spend another year in France teaching English, this time at the high school and community college levels. Jennifer's grandparents were Italian immigrants, so she had contact with the Italian language at an early age. She has formally studied Italian for five years and has spent considerable time in Italy with extended family members and friends who never left the motherland.
Jennifer has resided in Mexico City since 2001 where she founded and currently manages her own company, Ameri-Euro Translations. She works as a translator and editor for her clients. In addition, Ameri-Euro Translations offers interpreting services for conferences, with the required technical equipment rental included in the packages. She also offers private tutoring in English Language Study. In addition, Jennifer has developed English Language Workshops and a French Language Curriculum for the Escuela Bancaria y Comercial (School of Banking and Commerce).
