Hi,
I want to compare several translations in Spanish with their German Original.
The German original will be in odt (but I could use an equivalent) and have:
- the correct paragraph styles (H1, H2, H3, etc., quotations, default paragraph style,)
- the correct character styles (italics/emphasis being the most important)
- blank lines among paragraphs when they appear in the original
I am looking for a tool that

- compares the styles/structure of the two documents
and either
- shows where the differences are
and/or
- helps to reproduce the style of the original in the translation
Do you know if something of the sort exists, paid or free?
Thanks a lot in advance,
Daniel

You can import .odt files in SDL Trados Studio (there’s a free trial version).

I believe you can do most of the things you listed in Trados bilinguial review (not completely sure though). Or align files, create a TM and then move forward with that TM.

A while ago, there was a topic that may help you. Check here: https://www.proz.com/forum/trados_support/354986-sdl_trados_studio_2019_newbie_question_how_to_review_already_translated_word_documents.html

Other than that, there may be some specialized structure tools out there.
