| | | Bio: During my ten-year plus tenure in the financial institutions, I was engagedin various roles mainly in the field of legal & compliance and documentation of investment trust (unit trust) funds. These include arrangement of meeting structure (board meetings, shareholder m...eetings, auditor meetings, etc.), e.g. minutes taking (in Japanese and English); preparation of securities registration statements, prospectuses including translation of memoranda of offshore funds. Last year (2011) I was in charge of translation of the FSA (Financial Services Agency, Japan) onsite inspection related documents: two-column questionnaires; call memos; legal opinions; call monitoring transcriptions; and internal rules amongst others at a Japanese branch of one of the major US banks. I am currently working at a Japanese branch of one of British banks in Tokyo as in-house translator, responsible for translation of brochures, leaflets and letters to customers, internal policies and procedures, training and presentation materials, legal documents (e.g. mediation proposals and agreements), reports, and magazine articles, etc. Besides professional commitments, I've been undertaking MA open distance learning programme at the University of Birmingham since April 2010 for the purpose of deepening the knowledge and skills of translation.
