Bio:I am an electrical engineer with a Masters degree having over 35 years of work experience in Sweden, USA, Canada, Asia and Israel. I also have a Top Executive MBA. I am currently a graduate student in the Shaindy Rudoff program for Creative Writing at Bar-Ilan universit...y in Israel. I have published several non-fiction essays.
My translator career started when I read a Swedish-English/English-Swedish engineering dictionary and found numerous mistakes in the 1st edition. I subsequently became co-author of the 2nd edition. I have done translations of manuals, marketing material and books mostly in the engineering field but also in tourism for many international firms (ref available).
I am a natural born proof-reader and editor.
I hold eight patents (as inventor or co-inventor) in the fields of wireless communications and electrical network supervision/automation while working for ABB and Motorola. I lived and worked as an expat sales engineer in Hong Kong for five years covering Asia-Pacific. Two of my professional publications received Best Paper Awards from IEEE Power Engineering Society (PES)

1985-1990 The Moscow State University, Phylological faculty, specialization in Russian-English and English-Russian translations. MA in phylology & translation.

Bio:Since 2007 I have operated my own language studio, LinguaCom, providing translation and tutoring services to clients internationally. I have 15 years of experience as a translator and private tutor. Before I started my own business, I worked with other service providers..., translated and edited academic materials from scratch to publication, and taught English in various settings, both private and public. Five of my articles in English have been published in European educational journals.
I hold an MA in Special Education from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a BA in Psychology as well as a BA in Culture and Language Studies (English, French). I have a certificate in Technical Writing.
