dubbele rietberger

Dutch to English Other Sports / Fitness / Recreation figure skating
This is also a figure skating jump, possibly a 'loop'? Can anyone help?

one question is squashed -the other isn't. http://www.proz.com/kudoz/1036207. you are making too many duplicate postings.
Antoinette Verburg May 19, 2005:
Da's gek... In mijn vragenlijst staat de eerdere vraag er nog steeds. Zeker omdat ik 'em beantwoord heb ('double Rittberger', 'double loop jump')
Non-ProZ.com May 19, 2005:
I repeated the question because I "squashed" it earlier
Non-ProZ.com May 19, 2005:
I really don't think Rietberger is used in English, as it's a common jump and not used on English fig. skating sites
Antoinette Verburg May 19, 2005:
Vraag is al eerder door u gesteld, en is ook al beantwoord. S.v.p. geen vragen herhalen.

Double loop

Volgens wikipedia is een rietberger een loop: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Figure_skating

Double Rietberger

Isn't this just a 'double Rietberger'??
Peer comment(s):

agree Ljiljana Malovic : I would say that too. As far as I can remember (from TV) there was a figure skater Rietberger who 'invented' this kind of 'jump' - Tripple Rietberger also - depends on how many 'loops' you make in the air. ( Een, twee, drie en ... de lucht in!)

agree writeaway : anyone who has ever watched a figure skating competition would know this-don't know why Asker thinks it's something else/wasn't confirmed by Google but I can still hear the BBC reporter who used it.....
