English term

highly oriented flash

English to French Tech/Engineering Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.)
Under the term LCP (liquid crystalline polymers) high-temperature resistant plastics are
summarized which are e. g. used for extremely thin-walled components. They are used for
components which are sterilized like surgical instruments, but also in the field of small, sensitive
relays or switches for automotive electronics. Bondability of LCP has to be checked and tested in
every single case. E. g. with the one-part epoxy resin, DELO-MONOPOX 6093, very good results
can be recorded without pre-treatment depending on the application.
LCP is surrounded by a highly oriented flash which is the surface for bonding.
